WE DON’T EVEN NEED TO SAY IT COLIN, DO WE? JUST HOW MUCH DOES CROFT PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE?
It’s no secret that Croft is my favourite circuit on the calendar! Let’s be honest here, it takes ages to get there and there’s not much modern infrastructure at the venue but there’s just a certain je ne sais quoi for me about that place. I can’t pinpoint why I love the circuit configuration so much, but I can slip into the zone effortlessly and results tend to happen a little less laboured.

LET’S TALK SUCCESS BALLAST. JUST 11 POINTS OFF P2 BUT ONLY CARRYING 39KGS NOW. THIS IS SURELY A TERRIFYING PROSPECT FOR OTHERS!
Anyone can see how competitive the field is this season and there are easily ten or more drivers that could hammer home a strong weekend. I’m certainly not resting on my laurels but it’s an inspiring prospect.
This is my time to make strides towards the top and I’ve been doing everything in my power to ensure I prepare to the maximum.
This is another opportunity to cash in on our position in the championship and turn up the heat.

IT’S A FULL-ON SPELL FROM NOW TO THE END OF THE SEASON. IS THAT A GOOD THING FOR YOU?
So, we’ve got 4 race weekends within the next 6 weeks which is pretty intense. Silverstone is immediately after Croft . The season will be over before we know it, so I’m determined to enjoy this final stretch. Yes it’s a good thing for me because we are in the car and competing which I love, but it’s an extra challenge for the team working on the 3 series, as the turnaround is pretty tight.
Attention to detail can make or break a championship campaign at this stage, so it’s crucial we all dig deeper than ever and push hard over this busy spell. It’s been a very unusual season this year in many ways, it feels different for me but I’m fired up and excited about the opportunity to challenge for the title again. There are a lot of points up for grabs over the next 12 races and I’m feeling confident the luck will swing back in my favour. You only need 1 point over the others by the end, and we’ll be fighting hard all the way to then.
