IN AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW FOR BMW, COLIN TURKINGTON OPENS UP ABOUT ‘THAT’ SEASON FINALE
BMW UK have released an exclusive interview with Colin Turkington on Youtube today, where the four times BTCC Champion opens up about how he felt throughout that rollercoaster season finale.
Claiming that his 2019 championship victory was “the ultimate high, I can’t get anywhere else,” Turkington went on to say that winning the fourth title was “next level stuff.”

This weekend was originally set to be the 2020 BTCC season opener at Donington Park before the COVID-19 pandemic hit the UK. Fans may have to wait a few months longer before this happens, but in its place, a 24-minute insight into feelings of the current Champion is a welcomed replacement.
MOTORSPORT UK POSTPONEMENT
Last week the governing body for Motorsport in the UK further suspended permits until the 30th June. This effectively means that the soonest possible date for the beginning of the BTCC would be July. As like every sport, this is completely dependent on the current situation of COVID-19.
ADAPT THE CALENDAR
Speaking to BBC SPORT earlier in the week, Turkington has reassured fans that should it become safe for the series to begin in July, TOCA will do everything they can to adapt the calendar and provide fans with a shorter but concentrated season of BTCC.
“It is important for me to take stock now in this breathing space and reflect on what I have achieved up to this point. It’s taken a lot of hard work and effort from me and the team to get to four titles.
Life just runs at a hundred miles an hour and you never get time to reflect and relax. It is important time for me to do things I don’t normally get a chance to do and when the season does start back I’ll be fully refreshed.”Back to news
