TURKINGTON AND GRAHAM SECURE PODIUM ON DEBUT
Turkington and Graham Secure Podium on British GT Debut at Silverstone 500
27th April 2026
- Colin Turkington and Ernie Graham delivered an outstanding performance on their British GT Championship debut, securing a podium finish in the Silverstone 500 — the flagship event of the season.
- Contested over three hours, the race marked the first endurance outing for both drivers and the team, making their result all the more impressive against a highly competitive field.
- A standout moment came during Turkington’s one-hour stint, where the four-time BTCC Champion showcased his class and experience. Charging through the field with confidence and precision, he surged into the lead of the Pro-Am category, underlining both his pace and racecraft in endurance conditions.

- An unfortunate drive-through penalty for Graham later in the race dropped the pairing down the order, adding further challenge to an already demanding contest. However, in a race shaped by multiple penalties, safety cars, and full course yellows, the duo remained composed and resilient.
- Despite the setbacks, Turkington and Graham fought back strongly to secure a podium finish on debut — a significant achievement given the circumstances and the scale of the event.

HEAR FROM COLIN
Reflecting on the race, Turkington said:
“It was a fantastic experience stepping into endurance racing for the first time. The level of competition is incredibly high, but I really enjoyed the challenge. My stint felt strong — we were able to make good progress and show real pace, which is very encouraging.
To come away with a podium in our first race together, especially at an event like the Silverstone 500, is a great result and a strong foundation for the season ahead.”
WHAT A DISPLAY
The performance highlighted not only Turkington’s seamless transition into GT and endurance racing, but also the strength of the pairing and the team’s ability to compete at a high level under pressure.
With such a strong result in one of the toughest races of the season, the foundations are firmly in place for a promising British GT campaign ahead.
