BTCC Heads To Thruxton
With just enough time to reset and re-focus after his Historic success; Turkington yesterday (Thursday) completed shakedown in his Silverline Subaru BMR Racing Levorg, before the capacity 32-car grid will take on the UK’s fastest circuit this weekend.
Visiting Thruxton in Hampshire for rounds 7, 8 and 9 of the season; the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship is only one day away!
With an abrasive track surface and eye watering speeds, Thruxton requires a bespoke harder compound tyre, constructed especially for this event by Official Tyre provider Dunlop.
With sunshine on the forecast, a huge crowd is set to descend on the banks and grandstands of the flat-out famous Hampshire circuit while many more will watch the unmissable action live on ITV4.
This blistering fast track is set to provide challenging conditions for the Silverline Subaru BMR Racing Levorg’s, but one that Colin Turkington is more than ready to sink his teeth into to.

“I am really looking forward to getting out in the Subaru again and refining the car one step further. Each event is still a walk into the unknown for us, and it’s important to remain focused and prepare the best we can. Thruxton is definately a circuit about speed, but the handling and response of the car is just as pivotal. We haven’t been able to test the car since Donington but I’m confident I’ve done all I can to prepare myself and am ready to go.”
