Subaru Levorg revealed at BTCC Media Day

The BTCC yesterday enjoyed one of its most successful Media Day’s to date with a record number of fans and spectators descending upon Donington Park.

Gathering to officially launch the 2016 season, drivers and teams were on hand to showcase their new partnerships and upgrades as many exciting new announcements were made and cars unveiled.

With the world’s motorsport media swarming the paddock, all eyes were on the brand new Subaru Levorg on display for the first time. Having only been completed in the early hours before, the stunning RWD machine was clearly the showstopper of the day.

Sitting proud with the four Subaru drivers of Colin Turkington, Jason Plato, James Cole and Warren Scott, the Levorg was centre of attention for its short visit to the Media Day event. Having only been delivered to the circuit hours before the unveil, the Subaru Levorg was quickly scooped back to the Team BMR HQ for the finishing touches to be made to the build.

With the bulk of the team back at base continuing the build of the remaining cars, Team BMR are confident that four cars will be ready for the season opener at Brands Hatch on 2nd and 3rd April. Aiming to get at least two Levorgs out for testing before then, it’s been an incredible achievement in the short space of time from the project was given the green light in late 2015.

The team plan to reveal the final graphic design of the race car and drivers race suits at the season opener when excited partners, sponsors and fans will get to see the car in action, on track, in full livery, for the first time. Team BMR and Colin Turkington would also like to express their gratitude to all involved for the patience shown as they work tirelessly to complete the project to the exceptional standard expected of them.
