TREMENDOUS TURKINGTON CONTINUES HIS CHARGE - Colin Turkington

COLIN DOMINATES AGAIN WITH DOUBLE PODIUM AND STUNNING PERFORMANCES

Colin Turkington was easily the driver of the day yesterday at Donington Park, with three sensational races and stunning pace around the GP circuit.
Converting a front row start in qualifying into a race 1 victory, Turkington kicked off his race day with one of his best wins of the season.
The weather threw everything it had at the four-time champ on the grid for race 2 but Colin kept his cool in the greasy conditions, to storm home to a second place finish and pick up fastest lap along the way.
Starting P10 in the reversed grid race 3, BMW’s star made great progress to 7th in the opening laps only to be turned around on the Melbourne hairpin and find himself last of the runners. An inspired and incredible performance followed thereafter, as he charged his way back up to 7th position!
Colin’s victory in race 1 was the Team BMW man’s 72nd career victory and his 2nd place finish in race 2 secured his 189th BTCC podium.
Once again the top points scorer for the third event on the trot, Turkington is easily the man of the moment with his tail quite clearly in the air.
