“WE’VE FOUND THE NEXT LEVEL BUT I’M LEFT FEELING VERY FRUSTRATED”
TURKINGTON CLINCHES INCREDIBLE 70TH CAREER VICTORY BUT INCIDENTS LEAVE A STING

- Colin Turkington put on a sensational display over the weekend at Croft, claiming pole position, a race one victory and some storming pace.
- Clinching his 70th BTCC career victory, the BMW driver was on top form in every outing but unfortunately had race two and three de-railed by on-track incidents.
- Turkington converted his pole position from Saturday’s qualifying session into a dominant race one victory but despite his outstanding pace, left Croft circuit with just one significant result to show.
- The 4-Time champ put on an inspired performance, clearly finding the ‘next level’ he was aiming to achieve.
- The outcome of all incidents on track were deemed to be racing incidents and therefore no penalties will be issued.
- Colin remains frustrated but has vowed to carry his rapid pace and passion on to Knockhill in less than two weeks time.

HEAR FROM COLIN
“If you can’t say anything good, it’s best to say nothing at all. I’m absolutely gutted for the #20 car crew, the car was flawless all weekend and we deserved so much more. Two separate incidents have cost me big points but I can rest soundly knowing I drove my heart out. Our job as BTCC drivers is to be role models for the youth coming through, and I will always do my best to set a positive example.
The car was rapid – especially in race 3! We have found the next level but it is difficult to fully appreciate that at the moment when I leave Croft feeling frustrated. We’ll aim to carry this pace through to Knockhill.”
