COLIN TURKINGTON

I’m delighted with the end result because that session could easily have went either way. We had such a stable, dry morning, and i think the rain came as a surprise to everyone. We made the right call on a last minute wet setup and the car was fast.

I’d have loved just one more crack at it, I’m sure there was more time in it but as the track started to dry at the end, it became greasy for us in the RWD cars.

We were the dominant package in the dry throughout practice, so we have this to look forward to. I’m expecting to go forward tomorrow.

Timing was crucial today, and I couldn’t have predicted that session or the drama that followed. Even though we were looking good this morning, I knew to just keep working and focus on delivering the best performance. You can never take anything for granted in this series.

Qualifying is so important at this stage and P3 is where we should be. We should be pleased with the package we rolled out today – the car was on the money!
